Those who have had time syncing issues, have you also had issues with loading Google webpages? I am just asking, because I wonder if there is a relation between the two. I have had neither problems, ever.
Funny you should ask. I have both problems but didn't even think about a connection and doubt that there is. The one that bothers me the most is that Google Search will not work in any of 5 browsers on the test machine and google search works just fine in the retail version of Win 10 on 3 other machines. I get a "can not access" message when trying to access Google.

Anyone tried safe mode on this build? I can get to safe mode but it constantly reloads so not of any use.

Yes, Fabler2, I tried Safe Mode in 15014 and the result was disastrous so I warn anyone not to try. I have reported it on Feedback Hub and in a thread elsewhere on here. You will get in a desktop blinking every 2 or 3 seconds loop that is very hard to recover from as no mouse commands are recognized and only CTRL-ALT-DEL is recognized from the keyboard.

    Hi,

While trying to update to 15014, I found a very strange behavior of my Windows 10 IP 15002. It crippled my (M$ account) username from 6 2 5 characters to a single 4 one (!) ?

PS Windows 10 IP update to 15014 (with ESET Firewall) is only throwing Edge, Skype, Telemetry, Onedrive and-so-on-rules in my face. What about getting ready for the >15002 update itself ?/

If you mean the username in the \Users folder, the name shortening started several builds back, and Kari even posted a fix on how to get it working correctly with the ful username. I think it was in the 14986 thread.

It has been quite a while like this, in my opinion much longer than from 14986, if not from very beginning. When creating a new user account as a Microsoft account, the user profile name will be the FIRSTNAME part of email address (FIRSTNAME.LASTNAME@EMAIL_PROVIDER.com) if the FIRSTNAME is exactly 5 characters long.

If FIRSTNAME is shorter than 5 characters, the user profile name will be a 5 character abbreviation of full FIRSTNAME (1 to 4 characters) plus first characters from LASTNAME to make it full 5 characters. For instance jane.doe@anyemail.com would get user profile named as JaneD, ben.smith@anotheremail.com as BenSm, and so on.

If the Microsoft account email only has one part before the @ sign, a 5 character abbreviation will be used for user profile name if it is*6 characters or longer, as it is if it is 5 characters or shorter.

The simple "fix" is never to create a new user using Microsoft account. Always make it as local account, then as soon as signed in first time switch to Microsoft account. Local account's user profile name will always be exactly as the chosen username and it will not change when switched to a Microsoft account.

All information from that post (which I am not able to find) is in my previous post here. That's all there is.
