An interesting tidbit: I got both of my 64-bit IP computers updated yesterday and today in cleaning things up found a copy of JASC Paint Shop Photo Album 5, last copyright of 2004. Installed on one IP computer and seems to work fine. Bottom Line: it doesn't hurt to try older programs. I actually might like it as well as MSPaint instead of the new Paint 3D.
Hi Kari.
Exception as far as I can tell on the Surface Pro 4.
Windows in their wisdom have made it impossible to clone using USB, according to Macrium....no other option being available.
If you can think of a way around this problem then would be able to utilise Macrium the same as I do on my other three computers, all having secondary hard drives.
I have ESET Smart Security v10, does this app - overruling the native AV / Firewall functions in Windows 10 - have anything to do with the changed settings "managed by your organisation"?
Just a thought! Greetz
From release notes:
Under Settings > Update & security > Windows Update you might see the text “Some Settings are managed by your organization” even though your PC isn’t being managed by an organization. This is a bug caused by an updated flight configuration setting for Insider Preview builds and does not mean your PC is being managed by anyone.
Yep. I have Corel's Paint Shop Pro X2 on a couple of my production Notebooks, actually have used Paint Shop for more years than I will admit to, like back in Windows 3.xx of the early '90s when it came on a few floppies. I just thought it interesting that some older things aren't necessarily destined for the trash.
