Yes, of course it can be added. That is one of those tutorials meant to be for each newbie, I am trying to keep it simple. There's now two versions of the script simply because I had to add something (ESD file info) for the new one, and as I tested it with some older ESD files, I got errors.

Simply, to be sure the information given is valid, there's now a tool which works guaranteed with 10130 and older ESD files, and one that works with 10158 and later.

Oh I see - that makes perfect sense now!

just a question so i'll know if i need to make one as well, but why are you all going to so much trouble for a build that might be replaced in less than a week? if there's a good reason, i'll make one as well, but have read many, many reports that their will be several more builds before the end of the month. so just wondering if it's worth it?

I don't know if it's necessary or worth it, we just do it because we can!

In addition to the excellent answer my esteemed fellow Geek Edwin gave above, here's a bit more:

The short answer: We are geeks!

The long answer: We are geeks! We must have and install and try every build. We will install it not only on one PC but several machines, both virtual and real physical ones. We want to test the clean install and even when we want to try the in-place upgrade, why do the slow download > upgrade process on each upgraded machine when we can grab the ESD from the first, make an ISO and do a much faster in-place upgrade on other machines using it.

It makes sense and it's worth it if you want to continue testing and eventually move to RTM and beyond. That's who those updates are meant for. Anybody looking for temporarily free OS might as well stay at first stable version.

Practice makes perfect. So, if it's replaced in a week, I'll have had this time with it.

I've already created an ISO for 10158 and this afternoon I'll create one for 10159 and put it on Lappy 17 so It'll be able to upgrade when the time comes. Maybe, since upgrades are so not happening for so many of us.

The real question what motivated you to test any of the builds?? Was it worth your time to test build 10147 or any build after that??
