internet explorer will stay at version 11 and only receive security updates in the future.

the edge browser(version 20)will be provided with the most support and enhancements.
That may be, dskiller, but if it doesn't work properly, then I'm not going to waste my time trying to get it to work at all.

I'm not all that displeased with Firefox. FWIW, I would rather use Firefox and if I can get one idiosyncrasy worked out, then I'm gonna use it as my default browser.

Well, I'm on about my 10th "try, try, try again"!
If at 10th you don't succeed, blame it on MS again. :)

    Thanks for confirmation

I might just stick with IE, don't like the idea of having to use 2 browsers depending on what I am doing, prefer everything all in one
Edge is still a little bit rough around the edges :) It renders pages fairly quickly and accurately when you point it to a site. However, the favorites management is just about nil, and there is no ad blocking functionality. Until these two issues are addressed, I don't even really feel like testing it. It seems more a 'proof of concept' than a product at this point.

So, I assume this is the next before RTM, so how does build 10158 run, any issues?
How should we know, Groze. However, having said that, what with all the problems with updating to Build 10158, it looks to me like we'll need something newer that actually works! Just my not so very humble opinion, since I'm having the same problems as everyone else on at least one of my computers.

Yes, and answered, Kari. The laptop won't download anything . . . Defender is waiting in the wings and 10158 is downloading at 0% since last night.

I think there is still work to be done! This release is not RTM ready.
    People application does not work
Store (regular) does not open (Beta store does open)
Mail does not display other mail sources, only one at a time
File explorer does not stay open, it opens then closes
Menu bar closes some of the time when it is opened
This is what I have discovered in a very short period of time.
