Can build 15007 really have a 4GB smaller footprint than 1607 AU? That seems quite a bit smaller but is what my install is telling me...

Any of you geeks tested 15002 or 15007 Home edition clean install yet? Have you found a way to do clean install setting up the initial user as a local account?

Of course in Pro edition it can be done selecting My work or school when OOBE asks Who owns this PC, then selecting the local domain option which then tells you "we'll help you to set up local account now, when setup has finished join domain as in the past".

This is how it's done in Pro

1,) Select My work or school:

    2.) Select Local domain:

3.) Set up a local account:

My point is that as Who owns this PC selection is not shown in Home edition, does it mean that when clean installing Home the only option is Microsoft account, or install without network connection?

Official build 15002 ISO's are now available This should make a clean install of build 15007 easier. Although the link below says "Access Denied" I just clicked on it and it took me to the download site. Strange.

    Access Denied
Marty, and anyone else interested. The "Access Denied" title to the link is simply a name assigned by MS to indicate you must be an Insider in order to download it. It's just words. Has no effect on the process of downloading, but you must be a registered Insider to successfully get it.

    The actual URL string is:

    "https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windowsinsiderpreviewadvanced"]Access Denied

    Words....only words.

I can change the words to this, and it will still take you to the correct MS site.

Here is what is happening re: access denied:

The Forum software tries to parse the name of the web page when it automagically encounters a link (partcularly when we post a link without formatting it ourselves with a title) and make it all nice and neat, but since the forum software is not a Windows Insider, when it tries to parse the page's name Microsoft throws back Access Denied to the Forum software. And since that is what M$ throws back, that is what the forum software uses as the page title.

Anyone who is not an insider attempting to access that page will be given the same web page 'name'. However, in point of fact, it is the fault of the forum software for not being able to directly access the correct page as to why we always see Access denied when posting this (and a few other) URLs.

I can't get "Save Image as" to work in Build 15007! It looks like it's copying the image, but never asks me where to save.

I wish it was my ISO :) Actually howevef there is a small lack of quality assurance testiing with this ISO. It is too big to be burned to a standard DVD+R 4.7GB disk! Thus you can't make a bootable DVD and will need to burn to a flash drive or just use this ISO as is to create VMs. This is really sloppy 'softies.

The installation screens for the official 15002 have been improved IMHO. The connectivity screen is cleaner and most importantly all the customization options are on a single screen. I'll post this to the Feedback Hub when I get a chance.

No matter what I do, Andre, it won't save. In fact, every time I try it, I get thrown out of wherever I am at the moment. When I tried to save your sig, I was thrown completely out of TenForums.
