Thank you my friend! Seems for some reason my brain decides not to work some days and I forget important things like the reg hack that I have been through before and should have remembered it was for disabling UUP. Sheesh I wonder about me some days.

When I went in there again for some reason both reset to value of 1. As soon as I changed them again instant download and install!

Thanks again Kado for jogging an old man's memory to get things working :)

Wouldn't a .reg file be handier and easier ?
.REG file will still need to be manually done, batch file can be incorporated via task scheduler to ALWAYS run at boot, etc. as well as being manually run.

Maybe 'cos it's cooler to write a script than export a reg key?... programmers are like that .. LOL (btw. that old bat? maybe just me. but PS is surely the way forward?)

This is getting ridiculous. Been waiting 1 hour and 42 min and more, and I am still stuck at downloading 100%. Easily been stuck at this particular step for a good 1 hour, if not more! What should I do?
After leaving the laptop on the entire night, WU finally showed the restart option to install the latest build. God, that UUP optimization thing took waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay toooooooooooooo long. It wasn't this bad when I was upgrading from 14xx to 15002. Something must've changed in 15002. Unfortunate.

I am just glad that I can finally tes Kari's UUPtoISO tool! Something to look forward to!

While I was watching it, it used only 17% of processor and 45MB of RAM, maybe that's why it was so slow. Disk usage was also very low.
