One point I may have inadvertently left out that may help...Make sure that UUP is turned off in both spots in the registry (per Kari's tut & Tomcat's Reg files--just use the reg files.) I found out in one instance that if registry entries are mixed--one set to (1) the other to (0) that the upgrade will hang every time...! So much crap going on here I've had to wade through--can't remember it all....Also, I used an .esd to build my iso--& I mounted the .iso on my F:\ partition, which created a virtual J:\ mount for the .iso--and ran the upgrade from there (found out a while back that with my SSD mounting the iso there and upgrading there at the same time seemed to create problems, occasionally...

Good luck...sorry the original advice didn't help... If still no luck, hang tight for the next build which I distinctly feel will be coming soon...!

It's quite clearly told in instructions. An extract:

   Tip

If having a possibility to make an ISO image and create your own install media weighs more than reduced download size, you must manually disable UUP in Windows registry.

Both of the following DWORDs have by default value 1 (UUP enabled). You must change both values to 0 (UUP disabled) to keep getting the ESD file and full build download:

Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>WindowsUpdate>Orchestrator
DWORD: EnableUUPScan

Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Microsoft>WindowsUpdate
DWORD: SupportsUUP

These DWORDS must have the same value, 1 for UUP enabled, 0 for UUP disabled.

Only real issue I had was with the spectrum.exe - audio issue, do I used the fix proposed by M$. This far it has worked.

Very strange things are a happenin' . . .

I posted a couple or three days ago that I couldn't "save image as", but this morning, it's working just fine! Sigh . . . ain't 'puters the mostest fun things ever!?
