Cumulative Update KB3213986 Windows 10 Version 1607 build 14393.693

Has anyone else had an issue with start menu where you search for a particular program that runs when you click it but the sidebar of the start menu stays open? It doesn't do it all the time but it only does it to Reliability History for some reason

I have exactly the same lenghthy error messages as Coram Daes. Have you tried uninstalling the previous updates before this one? Mine just flat out refused to even download pass 9% before going error. No matter how many times I ran the Troubleshooter it does not work

Ah ok. It doesn't happen all the time but something I've just noticed over past few days.

Ever since I ran this update (took 4 tries), I have been getting this error at boot up.
Anyone know why?

I've seen that before after resetting windows update some time back. It's Windows defender trying to start on login and borking. The only thing that sorted it out was to go back to a previous system restore point whereupon it was back to normal. Although that is a time consuming process, maybe some of the better educated contributors on here know how to reset Windows defender instead.
