My machine had a couple of minor glitches. Installed fine, restarted fine and everything seemed normal. I decided to run cleanmgr on system files and it took quite a while, maybe hung about 3/4 way thru. Left it there for 1 hr and so chose to cancel. At that time, everything became frozen. Was able to restart but, Windows started updating again, same as before?. This took 1 hour, opposed to the initial install of about 15 minutes, but seems to be back to normal again. Cleanmgr ran again without issue.

Anyone else get a strange memory dialogue box from explorer.exe as soon as you clicked on Restart now when the updates ready to install? Had no issues but just curious
I get that on every update on one of my older Dell XPS8300 desktops but everything is fine. Unless something goes wrong, I'd just ignore it.

Has this update caused sleep issues for anyone? My laptop doesn't come out of sleep properly since the update. It hangs with a black screen and I have to hard reboot to come out of it.

After the update, space in C: drive got reduced by more than 1GB. Restart took more time. Disk cleaning did not recover the space. How to recover space? Where are update files stored? Does long restart indicates any error?

To clean up Windows Updates you need to click the 'Clean up system files' button, a standard clean up isn't sufficient.

Average download and install time with successful install

    Dell XPS-8500 Desktop running Pro
Inspiron 15 i5559 Laptop running Home

Round trip for both, my average of about 30 to 35 minutes with no apparent issues.

Yes, I had this happen on last month's update:

Dell XPS-8500 Desktop w/ 64 Pro - This was the normal 30-45 minute round trip, however when I clicked the 'Restart Now' button I did get this weird 'explorer.exe' memory error* pop up window in the middle of the 'Restarting' circus of dots. After the reboot I did a memory check which showed no problems, and all the updates were successful. Subsequent restarts have been fine.

    * I did notice with my desktop 'Rainmeter' CPU histogram that something was thrashing on all 4 processors just before the restart, so perhaps the OS prematurely caught itself in the middle of some explorer process that didn't end gracefully enough.

Some machines updated perfectly fine, others have been painfully slow.

    The slow ones:

Sit at "preparing to install updates (at 2%)
Get stuck downloading at either 90% or 95%
After rebooting - sit at the blue " configuring windows" screen for an extremely long time.

So this is your typical W10 update Tuesday....
So weird, mine was done in a jiffy! Strange how some users are experiencing long install times while others -- like me -- are 'fast and easy'!

Cheers for the replies on that lads glad it wasn't just me. Wondering if it's something to do with older processors then. Been running Windows memory diagnostic overnifht (extended) and it's found no issues so far
