Downloading from the catalog- The update structure would be twice the time. If I used 5 a.m. tomorrow the catalog download would likely be faster since the local population connected to this 5G tower structure would not be online. Two machines to update which makes using the update service unattractive.

My thought as well although I did find Edge to be flaky at times earlier on when Win 10 was first released. It has been more stable for awhile now.

Worked on 4 of 6 target machines so far, but has taken quite a while to complete on all machines (and I have 300 Mbps service, so it's not a matter of download speed). I'm also going through the time-consuming post-install cleanup that comes with a heavily crosslinked update file (the usual 3.99 TB of stuff to clean up from my 500 GB drive ;-). I'll update my wife's and son's machines this evening.

This cumulative update brought in a new "background" when you are booting up windows (the page you see with the time right before the log in screen comes on)...I liked the old background better....this new one shows part of a tree and a huge lizard on it....weird (LOL)...
I don't suppose there is any way to change that background, is there?
