Some people have backups of their backups (on the cloud).
One main benefit of backup is "time".
It will take around a day (deep scan) to recover data from corrupted hdd while it only takes minutes to copy from backups.
It will take from an hour up to an entire day reinstalling windows but only 15mins or so with an image backup like nothing happened.

OK, now data I have multiple copies of. I just don't feel that it is important to backup my system image. I'm the kind of guy that keeps installation media just laying around, anything goes wrong and I can do a clean install.

Just one note to that. I only own one computer and it is the computer that I am presently using to test out these previews. It is the computer that I use for all of my video and audio hobbys as well as my lifeline to the world. But I have several different ISOs laying in a drawer so I can start over anytime I want.

Got the new build but getting a message since last night that activation servers cannot be reached.
I sometimes get that after an update. Servers overloaded perhaps?

Oh, rollback attempts? I thought upgrade attempts. Sorry.
Hi Guys, Thanks for the input, it was upgrade attempts, and as it's a lap top nothing is connected other than the power lead.

If you create an image of a newly installed OS, it's like doing a clean install in 5 to 10 minutes with all your drivers and programs pre-installed when something went wrong.

Logged into my machine via RDP, and the update is waiting for me. Looks like I have a lot of playing around to do with Hyper-V, so I went ahead and started the install on my desktop.

Had the lid closed (IIRC) on my laptop, so will have to wait until I go home this evening to update that. Then, tonight, I will be updating all the VMs as well.
