Have found both Winkey and Action Centre very erratic....sometimes they show, more often not.
Had to install Feedback on Taskbar so that I can notify M$ regarding bugs.

Anyone have trouble with their dual boot setup? My bios kept defaulting to my DVD drive and refused to boot. I could boot into my Insider build if I manually selected my SSD as the boot drive. Trying to boot manually into my OEM HDD was hit and miss. I fixed it by restoring my HDD with a Macrium image. Next build I'm going to disconnect my HDD before downloading the new build.
Cannot beat a quick swop drive for dual booting.....your post reminds me the aggro I had with two O/S,s... W10*pro*and W10*Insider on same drive during the early stages of Insider development.
M$ concerned about unlicensed Insider copies, tightened up security, getting my MBR recognised being the problem.*

The download went fine but the install left me with a desktop without a taskbar and a start button that would not work, the system was stuck waiting for something to finish. I managed to reboot the laptop twice and always got the same result. I was considering installing a backup drive and getting rid of this new version. I unplugged the HDMI cable to my TV and a Microsoft webcam and I moved the laptop to my workbench to replace the drive. Just before replacing the drive I tried it again and this time it started up properly with a working taskbar and start button.

I re-connected the HDMI cable for the TV and again the system would not finish the startup and the taskbar was not available.

The download took about 2 hours and the install took about 15 minutes. I just did the upgrade but it was quick and painless and everything that I have tried seems to work perfectly. Edge works perfectly, but I have not tried any new features yet, I had to work last night.

With every build, there are always posts about this or that going wrong. Install issues, desktop issues, freezing issues. But this time, there is really a wide variety of weird, semi-bizarre happenings! And it's not quite 24 hours old! I have 2 physical and 5 VM Insiders. I've had 7 different experiences. Some with UUP on, some off. A couple came out fine, rest have strange, strange behavior.

    Thank God for image backups!

I don't have any backups because I do not believe in backups. It's forward or nothing.

Yeah, everyone does things a bit differently. I am running 2 older computers with the Insider Preview but they are not my main computers. Since I rehabbed them rather than send to Recycle I'll not have lost anything if they die.

Winuser, I am dual booting with Windows 10 15002 and Windows 7 Ultimate on separate SSD's with no problem.
