The VM that was on openSUSE finally did upgrade to 15002 but it took quite awhile. Stuck at 100% downloaded. This VM on my physical Windows Server 2016 Essentials is also in the same boat. Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15002 for PC-windows-10-2017-01-09-23-42-31.png

Reinstalling build 14986 on my physical machine. Then I'll upgrade. VMs are updating fine but I haven't yet had the time to explore.

It took ~4.5 hours to "upgrade".
Just like the last build, this build crashed (BSOD).
This time it only took the first couple of password characters to provoke it.

Unlike last time, after four or five reboots the BSOD kept complaining about the same thing (dxgkrnl.sys) instead of some different complaint each boot.
I used the "Reset" option, but that didn't fix the issue.

Since "dxgkrnl.sys" sounded like a graphics component/driver, I checked the "Display" settings in VMware Player.
I disabled the "Accelerate 3D graphics" option and W10IP b15002 finally booted without crashing.

As for W10IP b15002 itself, I'm experiencing weird issues with dialogue windows.
Some are appearing off of the screen and they can't be dragged back to a more sensible position.

Here's where I'm at* after a fresh install of build 14986. I'll go to sleep and see if it's complete in the morning. If still at 0% I'll reboot and try again since apparently everything has been downloaded Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 15002 for PC-build-15002.png

driver irql not less or equal

On the green (GSOD) with no mention of which driver may be at fault of course. Computer is in perfect shape otherwise, HW and SW. All tests passing with flying colors.
What's left t0 do ? I'll try to do clean install first which is normally my last option. I have a two days old MR backup but doubt it would help because virtually nothing changed since then.

Youtube videos stop playing if you leave Chrome and then come back to the video. Bluetooth is hit and miss .. my edifiers sometimes work and sometimes don't even show up in the bluetooth devices section.
