Yes, Charlie, that's what I would do, and if you go into Settings>Update and Security>Activation, I'm told that Windows is activated. As far as I know, as long as I'm a Windows Insider, this will remain the status quo.
When I upgrade Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, this will be a completely separate installation of Windows 10 and will have nothing to do with the Windows Insider Program, since it's never been associated with same.
My reasoning is for comparison between regular Windows 10 and Windows 10 for Windows Insiders.
