Time for a new PC perhaps? Cleaning up? Virus holding everything down? Defragging?
Nothing of that, with 351 System is OK.

No comparison here with a standalone download from the catalog. That was a 10 min. download for a laptop. The install went smoothly and swiftly since no extra MS products involved.
The desktop had the update available before I could use the catalog download yesterday. I wasn't sure if I could use the catalog file if this update message was in place. As well, there are MSOffice updates involved with the desktop and those wouldn't likely be in that 900++mg download.
The download took all afternoon and stuck at 95%. I left it and went to bed at midnight. Internet connection was at 0. At some point after 5 a.m. this morning it was available for install.
On the upside the install was without error.
This update service is a time wasting event since I choose to not use the machine when this activity is in place. Perhaps a choice to use catalog and opt out of auto update would be a thought via having an Advanced option inserted into the Update settings.

Presario CQ 57 laptop x64 Pro. Slow, long download(s x 2 because had to repeat due to low space issues) then fast pre-restart configuration to 30%, then boot failed during ring of dots beneath blue 4 pane Windows logo. Second boot attempt failed in same way. Ran automatic repair, then booted properly, ran post-restart configuration options to 100% quickly, and completed update.

    No problems since.

When I downloaded and then installed the update, at the time of restarting to install apparently the Host Process For Windows Services stopped workong according to Reliability Monitor. Had no issues though

Windows 10 Cumulative Update KB3206632 Obviously Hit by Installation Issues

The suggested fix is to disable DiagTrack service, at least during the update.

I have it already off, download took 3 mins, install 2 mins, restart 5 mins.

Disk Cleanup with Reset command and a few others took 20 mins.

Update downloaded 237MB on x64 system (KB3209498 included).
I wish I could have waited till I saw your post

This Update brook my Audio Support. IDT-Audio Driver will not install, on this Update.

    Windows 10 1607.576_x64.

    Going back to 1607.351

The problem was while performing a minimal Safe Boot , most of Windows Services were Disabled, thought I put it back to "Normal" but some how system did not activate all Services again.
