So I needn't have installed Windows 7 then in order to upgrade. May as well put 10130 back on and do a clean install with the ISO.

Sure sounds that way! But, being the old pack-rat that I am, I will have thumbs/ext hdd/dvd's, and probably a 3 1/2" floppy or 2 hidin'n in the background. Oh, and ALL my Macrium backups in a vault on the moon!

Talking of Macrium backups, I was pleasantly surprised to get prompted for the V6 free tonight. Several good improvements over V5 such as templates, differentials and disk management.

    Does it support file/folder backups?

Macrium has saved my butt more than a few times. Amazing what you can do with it. Don't forget to do a new Rescue DVD. And put a new PE environment in your boot.

YES, paid version. But (IMO), it is a true bargain. Look around on the net and you'll find a "coupon" code and u can get full paid for ~$54.99. Macrium Reflect Free

I recently bought a NAS. Currently I use Uranium Backup Free, which isn't bad.

I already did that(for the first time ever). For people like me who have never used it... in the recovery environment it's under "Choose another Operating System".

Should also be on your Boot Menu. And listed in MSCONFIG.

This is great news for Insiders.

Anyone know what will happen if the preview is installed on two different laptops and using the same MS account?

Will each get the release on 29th July or just one?
