I can't always copy and paste in Microsoft Edge real easy, but that video on YouTube was fun.
Eh, I'm waiting on the upgrade...wanna see if there's another way to get it besides slogging through installing Win7>Windows Update requiring several restarts>upgrade to 10>format to do a clean install >_>
Def holding on to my retail 8 key though. Gotta make sure it'll still be transferrable after upgrading and whatnot.
Yes it is Fathers day here and Gabe is being tweeted every 3 seconds. He probably has a bot responding.
I'm still a little confused. Microsoft says 29th July is Windows 10 ready and will "fly" out to all us Windows 10PW. Okay, but "Microsoft Denmark" is saying, that Windows 10 is ready to download "sometime in August"? I guess that must be because they don't have the danish languagepack ready sooner?
Does that mean, I will get the full Windows 10 in english first, and then after some days/weeks I will get the danish language-package? I would like to wait with the final Windows 10 until it comes with my language, but as I read this thread it is not possible?
Oh, and another question. I reserved Windows 10 on my gamerPC (Windows 8.1) a little while ago, and received an email from Microsoft about it.
Yesterday I reserved Windows 10 for my laptop (Windows 7 SP1), and that went well also, and again I received an email. But now the app has disappered on my gamerPC! Is this because I can only upgrade one of my PC's to Windows 10 for free?
I got the idea, that Windows 10 is "pr device" and not "pr Microsoft account", but is that wrong? Both reservations is made from the same Microsoft account.
The GWX Icon has disappeared for a couple of forum users. There are a couple of threads on it if you look around. I don't think it was anything deliberate, just a glitch for some systems. Maybe a Windows update brock it or something. Has nothing to do with how may PC's you can upgrade etc. I haven't seen anything that indicates that. I have it showing on my desktop and laptop. Even if you don't have the App, you can still upgrade when the time comes. The App isn't a mandatory element.
Looks like Microsoft will be doing some clarification.
Microsoft Sneakily Breaks Its Free Windows 10 Promise Again, Insiders With No Prior Genuine License Will Have to Pay
We’ve asked the company to clarify the matter to us, and it has requested for some time. The post will be updated when we there is any major development.
