    Hi there

Half these "Technical Blogs" are written by Off shored I.T depts. usually in places like Hyderabad / Bangalore in India -- now I find while Indians I meet in Europe usually have an excellent command of the English Language - those on the sub continent working in those off shored call / I.T centres are totally IMPOSSIBLE to understand --Give me an honest "Scouser" or "Mancunian" ANY DAY.

If the documentation is being produced off shore as well then it's no wonder errors etc creep in.

    Cheers

I don't know why they left it out.
They didn't leave it out. They put text in about activation and then went back in later and deleted it.

The only thing I can think of is they assumed we would know it would be activated.
Why would they assume that, given Microsoft haven't actually said it anywhere (apart from statements where it has later been edited out)?

If you think about it, what good would it do to upgrade our preview version to the released version if it's not going to be activated.
It means you get to use a better version... up to the expiry date which you always knew.

The terms of the Insider program (which you see when you sign up) currently say:
Some or all of the Software may cease working on its expiration date. You have no right to use the Software after its expiration date. Starting from the expiration date, you may not be able to access any data used with the Software. Some applications and content you receive through the Store may also cease to be available to you for use with this Software; you may not receive any other notice.
So Microsoft could legitimately say that no-one should expect the software to keep working after the expiry date.

If MS stays on track we'll see who's right and who's wrong on the 29th of July.

One thing I know for sure. When 10 is released at least 3 of my computers are going to be updated. I'm hoping I'll be able to upgrade from the preview and keep the Pro version. If I have to upgrade from previous OS's I can live with the home version.
