Try using your WIndows 7/8.x key...
Tried that with a Win 7 Pro and Ultimate key and W8 Pro key. It looked like it was going to work then threw an error.

The error that shows after initial install in the activation screen says that the (built in) key has been been blocked by the activation server.

What version installs by default? Home or Pro?

I believe it is what you already had. Probably Pro.

It gave me the choice to choose Pro or Home on a clean install after I skipped entering the product key during initial install.

This is a really nice build. Wish I could activate it to get rid of the gold accents that Windows apparently pulled from one of my synced wallpapers though.

Still...nice and speedy. Can't wait for the next official build.
