Per MS: Remember to change those two registry settings back to '1' to re-enable the new updating method. I specifically inquired about that in the Win 10 developer forums @ MS and they said while it works now if your having issues downloading the 14986 update, leaving the registry settings to 0 or disabled will cause problems in the near future with respect to updates.
There's nothing to worry, that warning first seen on Microsoft Community being somewhat pointless. Both EnableUUPScan and SupportsUUP DWORD values will be reset to default 1 (UUP enabled, no install.esd) when upgrading, and need to be manually changed to 0 after the upgrade if you prefer ESD file also in future build upgrades after 14986 (will work as long as Microsoft offers the ESD option).

    Hey Kari

Yeah okay. That's what I thought would happen....with respect to the reg values and the 'new' method of updating. I was just offering the ISO file for those who didn't want to search for it within other threads or posts.

Tnx for the info. I hope they continue to provide .esd files or if not the ability to choose to download the ISO (from MS) as it's being updated via Win Update as well.

Ugh...Time to change my signature logo. It needs an updated OS...heh

Are you changing your OS from Linux to Windows 10? I dual boot openSUSE Leap 42.2 and Windows 10 Build 14986 myself.

It, allegedly, will work on 14986 but I was not prepared to go through with it!
I tried it and worked fine. Responding to this thread in the "reset version". Just ran a PowerShell script which installed 10 of my programs automatically. Another nice option if it remains in final 2017 version.
