    I've tried to use Edge after each new Build is released. Yes, it's quirky, and there are things I like about it, but there are still too many things I don't like about it.

    I'm very glad you and others use it full time; I wish I could, but for now, I can't take the time to sort things out; too many important things I need to get done.
    My EXACT thoughts !

    Hi,

    I edited the registry of my AU install just so it shows the version of the build for you/him.

    Cheers,
    Yeah, that could be done too but Winver gives enough information, he was just not getting that he has Rs1, and thought he has only Redstone (no number).

    Guess I'll have to wait until the next Build to try it, John. In the first place, I don't have the time right now, and secondly, both 'chines are updated to 14986 already. With limited time to play (did I say play? Ha! This is hard work), I'll just have to wait awhile.
    I think Kari's new tutorial uses the installed OS. IOW, if you were on build 14971, his method would make an installable .ISO of your installed 14971 build, and depending upon which method you choose, also have all the user accounts you have set up as well as the programs you have installed.

    Argh. Been Fighting with my router an cable modem - apparently Cox did some work in the area last night. Cable Modem was back up for 9 hours as of an hour ago, and router had obtained its IP address, but no device connected to the router was getting Internet access. I have my router set up to force assign particular IP addresses to the devices that I have in my house, including all cell phones, tablets, laptops, desktop, security systems, etc., and everything had its host-assigned IP address.

    Oddest thing in the world. Even rebooting the router was not helping.

    Enabling QoS on the router did the trick. No idea why, but I disabled it again and everything still works.

    Sheesh. Now back to football Sunday.

    Crap. copied wrong post, that's to re-enable UUP.

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsUpdate]
    "SupportsUUP"=dword:00000000

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Orchestrator]
    "EnableUUPScan"=dword:00000000
    Does this registry change work for Windows 10 Home/Pro (64-bit) versions or does this work strictly for Windows 10 Home (64-bit) ?

    Recycle Bin Long Time to Empty

    My recycle bin takes quite a long time to empty. Anyone else have this problem?
    Also, what are the GLOB(xxxxxxxxxxx) folders for? I deleted them and I don't think I have any ill effects.

    I only use Pro on my machines and it worked on them perfectly fine.

    RE: Recycle Bin - how many files and what sizes are you talking about?

    RE: Glob files - those were created during the last update.
