    Hi,

I had a slightly different translation in mind....

    Cheers,

    Shhh! It can happen?

    Good to hear.

I am at this very moment doing screenshots of this procedure for a tutorial (Windows 10 - Create customized ISO from existing installation), will write the tut today, add videos later today or tomorrow.

Done a few different scenarios, all working just perfectly. You can make highly customized ISO images for clean, in-place and repair install.
    Excellent!

finally managed to crop an image via 3D Paint..
    - experimentation continues..
OMG, that was the hardest thing for me to figure out as well. I have Paint.NET installed, and it's a breeze in there. In Paint3D it is a major PITA to accomplish simple tasks like cropping.

Ain't gonna happen. Whole point of moving to settings menus is to make it more user friendly and identically useable on tablets, phones etc.
I noticed that when you tried to open things that were normally opened in Control Panel they opened the Windows 10 Settings page instead. Some of those seek to have reverted to opening in Control Panel again, which makes me wonder if CP is actually sticking around, for this and the above mentioned reasons....

You can still have Paint from the desktop and Paint 3D from the Start Menu at the same time....if you want them. Paint App - Restore in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Tutorials

Yup - I know. But I never used Paint for anything, I use Paint.NET all the time. I'm just trying out the new Paint3D, testing it, checking usability, knowing full well that I will continue to use Paint.NET for future needs....

I didn't think you did. I'm sure you will stick with Paint.NET because Paint 3D, although "pretty", has a long way to go! Others may find the options useful, maybe not.

For sure. It is still very basic, and although it might have a bright future, it's certainly not so bright here in the now.

But the screenshot I posted about Office 365 a few pages back - I edited that in Paint3D after capturing it with Snipping Tool. It took me so long and frustrated me to no end (just simply trying to crop it, nothing else!) that I had mistakenly left my personal email address in the screenshot at first. Thanks to Cliff S catching that mistake for me....

Needless to say, I have already installed Paint.NET as my go to on this build again - for when I need it most.

I'll continue to play with Paint3D - but it needs a lot more before I can even begin to praise it a little.

I tried "mousing" around in Paint3D but find it near impossible to do anything. I think you really need the pen and a pad to use it efficiently on a desktop.

Very True!!! On my SP3, it's "ok", but DT....forget it.

I'm still not getting any updates at all. I have to manually update Defender.
This is with an older version and with two clean installs of 14965. It acts like it is checking for updates but never finds anything - other system updates, Defender updates, etc.

I am set for fast insider updates.

Hmm. Good point. I have an old Wacom touchpad I can hook up and see if is makes things easier.

    Let me try.

Lol, yeah, my gripes were all from my DT as well....

Haven't tried it on the laptop, nor with the touchpad connected on the DT.

I have one VM which is acting the same way. I clean installed 14971 on all three VMs - two found updates (one is already updated to 14986, the other is updating now) and the third just sits there doing nothing....not even Defender updates.
