[QUOTE=Wynona;886431]Freebie VM software for the VM Newbie?
Download VMware Player 12.5.2 - FileHippo.com
Hi,
Will do and you and everyone else for that matter can call me Frank.
You can use ESD to ISO if you want install media. After that you can install it in VM if your CPU supports virtualization, right ?
Cheers,
Same here for me as well.
Going to try it on the next VM
OK, I'm going to try this myself now. I had an issue with my VM - it doesn't want to activate. I was going to find a Win7 disc (still have all of my old TechNet Win7 keys that I never used), but I'll do that later. Just going ot try this with the unactivated product for now.
And my main test bed.
Welcome. Just be sure that you have the installer for the old version as well. You may have issues with the new product. MBAM 2.x users are not getting updated to 3.0 yet
Haha. No, it worked in all my other browsers, and I use Firefox Nightly and Chrome Canary as my regular browsers. But I do use Edge for things like maintaining my Micro$oft Family account, as well as checking all my Micro$oft accounts....
Since this build altered the partitons on there, it may have failed as it was not able to do so on your RAID setup. Probably needs a driver in order to do so. (Assuming, of course, that by dual drives you do, in fact, mean RAID)
Going to try the registry method on the VM and your method on the test bed.
[QUOTE=Wynona;886431]Win10 has Hyper-V built in, and Kari has a great tutorial on how to set it up.
Also free is VirtualBox.
I've clean installed 14986 from the install.esd. Then I made a macrium image. I'll experiment tomorrow.
