This build has the odd feature of throwing in the*occasional asterisk into my typing.
My fingers went nowhere near the 8/* key.

That's Edge causing that, Tinmar. When I went back to Firefox, the *s disappeared from my posts. :)

And now I'm typing in Edge, so I'll get some *s pretty soon.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is on its final days. Product is already considered End of Maintenance, with the release of Malwarebytes 3.0, which (mostly) works with build 14986.

If you want to stick to MBAM 2.x then rename the installer and you should be able to install it soon.

So far I've only notice a problem with Edge being very slow to open while running Malwarebytes 3.0.

It effectively kills edge, and also has issues with current versions of Power Point from office 365 / office 2016.

Both of these stem from the integrated anti-exploit module of MB 3.

If I google Malwarebytes, will I be offered the most up to date version?

Google it and find out. OK, I did it for you. :)

    Malwarebytes | Free Anti-Malware & Malware Removal

You can get MBAM 3.0 Free or Premium, which I believe is the latest version.

Correct. However, it still has a few issues of its own. Do some reading before you jump on it.
