Instead of replacing CP, I think they should just move all the controls to it or at least duplicate them there. Then there wouldn't be any question of where to go for settings.
I agree. I still go to control panel more often than settings.
Some programs and software need it, JAVA, Adobe PS, NVIDIA control panel and so on...

Ain't gonna happen. Whole point of moving to settings menus is to make it more user friendly and identically useable on tablets, phones etc.
There's always good 'ole God Mode, until they strip out all the code.....
