I checked my phone and the Phone Companion wasn't listed. When I tried to install from the store I had to delete a device to install it. Thank you MS for a 10 device limit. When I run it all I get is a screen telling me what I can do.

OK. Now that I have Phone Companion installed on my phone when I checked my phone in File Explorer on my desktop it shows two folders. It shows Phone and SD card.

Is my desktop supposed to show in File Explorer on my phone? All I see is This Device and SD Card.

    Update:
I installed the PCie/USB3 converter on the PC's motherboard, and it works fine..
transferred 40-odd Gigs of Music to the Samsung SSD in 8 minutes..
the deletion took just a few seconds - very fast!

    - that was yesterday, today the phone won't even connect to the PC
    - guess I'm going to have to wait for the next update to see if the glitch gets fixed..

    Further update:
today the USB/Phone Companion connection worked briefly..
at least it showed correct info for Phone storage, though still no SD details..
    - very odd..

    USB connection is recognised instantly

Phone companion works but still doesn't show SD card storage info
and it still doesn't auto-connect to Photos and Videos to enable transfer..
