Regarding the Insiders Program, a friend of mine just inherited a mac air book and was interested in putting windows 10 on it....he could buy it of course but he was wondering if he joined the Insiders Program Release Preview Ring, would he be able to use it legit for free as long as he remained in the program? And, if so, how would he go about signing up for it?
    Thanks!

Your friend would need a legit key to activate the Insider build.

Guess I'm missing something here, my Released Versions 1607 are Build 14393 [2 Desktops] but my Insider Preview Versions 1607 are Build 14971 [2 Desktops].

@Berton, Insider Preview and Release Preview are 2 different things. This cumulative update is for the Release Preview Ring only. From first post:

Microsoft today is rolling out a new cumulative update for Windows 10 PCs and Windows 10 Mobile phones in the Release Preview ring of the Insider Program. KB3201845 brings the build number to 14393.479.

    Hope that helps. TC
