Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14971 for PC Insider
-
I just took a look in Device Manager. Anyone else have this?

Said it had fixed a problem where files on windows.old were left after the cleanup. Ah, I thought, maybe those pesky audio drivers will go but, no, still there. But worse is the 1.33GB left in $Windows.BT! Never had anything left there before (that I can remember!). Anyone else had stuff left in this folder?
First world 'problems'. Otherwise, everything seems to be working well as usual.
@Winuser. No 'Other devices' here.
Edit:- $Windows folder got deleted fully after second run.

OS becomes bigger and bigger!
-
Waste of time, some of my apps are still not working (one i use constantly) no third party av support.
This version seems to be a carbon copy of 14965.
Not happy at all, thinking windows 7 is looking good at this stage.
You should expect issues with insider builds. Rather than going back to 7 why not just use the stable build?

I hate when I get the popup that says a default app has been changed.

Yeah! Okay, so it's an Insider Build and they like to push Edge hard, but, I realize the options and I've made my choices so leave it alone MS!

well, I am missing something here. they removed cmd from the file tab so I can't run the ESDtoISO. how am I supposed to do it now?
Thanks, Live long and Prosper,

This time I remembered to save the ESD file before restarting and 14971 is now installed with no hiccups (So far).:)

I right click on ESDtoISO.cmd and choose Run as administrator.
