What if I should want both, Andre? I really would like to play with Paint 3D, but I use Paint to reduce photos to Internet size.

(hope I'm right, because I just take a quick look on it...)

I'm going to ask my mate Nigel to talk to his mate Donald to send the boys round to Redmond to stop them messing about with the good ole bits of Windows they seem hell bent on replacing with modern crapps, and to put back all the bits they have already taken out before it's too late, and Vlad no-mates pushes the button.

What happens if you just yell command at Cortana? :)

Hi,
(hope I'm right, because I just take a quick look on it...)
I don't think it will be that easy. If you type in mspaint.exe in the "Run" box then it launches the revamped version.
Reinstalling the old mspaint.exe will take over and you'll need to create a shortcut on your desktop to launch 3d paint.
Haven't tried that yet, not even sure the two will want to live together in the same box....
Cheers,

The same happens when CMD is run from PowerShell:
To run elevated CMD type CMD in Cortana, right click and select Run as admin, or run CMD from elevated PowerShell.
Why not just type "cmd" in File Explorer?
You guys make things so hard
