It changed the default programs & file associations,
Double-clicking on an Excel document to open it from File Explorer will crash Microsoft Excel. The workaround is to open the document from within Excel.
Does not crash older Excel version.
tried both excel 2010 and 2016 opening from file explorer and no problem--no crash of excel or system.
Edit-also opened excel files from OneDrive and no crashes on with excel 2010 or 2016.
