Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14965 for PC and Mobile Insider

So far this build is running good on my desktop. On my Lumia 640XL it still is at 0% downloading. I'm not going back to Windows 8 and start over again like I did before. I like being in the Insider Ring with my phone but this is getting ridiculous. I do expect to experience some problems with new builds but to not even download is just to much.

Still won't play nice with third party AV's (Avast Paid)
I am surprised the last version wouldn't let me connect to the internet without Avg firewall being turned off completely but this build has all back to normal in that department.

This update on the mobile devices but on the desktops it just scrolling.

She's back to "normal", whatever that is. :) And Hubby, dog, cat and I are home! Yayyyyyyyyyy!
It's so nice to be home and on my desktop, rather than that dinky 17" laptop!
I booted last night, checked only a couple of threads, checked updates, thinking I would start the download of 14959. Ha! Build 14965 was halfway downloaded. 
So now I get to check out this new Build. Later today, after we catch up on chores (yard needs mowing) left undone for 2.5 weeks.

I know what Kari said, but I have never had to do the install.esd copy first--always after the install. This time I have downloads now and copied to safe folder.
Same here, Magilla! This is the first time I've ever been "denied" the install.esd file! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr
Methinks Microsoft doesn't want us to create our own ISO files . . . it seems that all our options are being taken from us, one-by-one. Sheesh!

I saw this morning here in the forums a new build was dropped,
but decided to wait until after I got home from work to download and install.
Ya'll know how it is when you have little or no time

I rolled back to Windows Preview 14995 now it's updating to Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14965.

First a warning:
Warning
As was with earlier build upgrades, it seems that an old not so nice feature has made a comeback: the install.esd file will be removed from C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources folder when upgrade is finished. The fact that this happens now with build 14965 might indicate it will also happen with future build upgrades.
To be able to make your own ISO for possible repair and re-installs, remember to copy it to a safe location (an external disk for instance) before starting the upgrade, before clicking Restart now!
The above being said, here's a onetime offer to those of you fellow geeks who forgot to copy the ESD file before upgrade and in doing so lost the opportunity to make an ISO image.
I've uploaded both British English and US English
Windows 10 PRO Build 14965 x64 ISO images to OneDrive. If you don't find the ESD and need an ISO, you can download it from here:

I am sorry but as I have no use for Windows 10 Home edition and 32 bit PRO, I have no Home ISO images nor do I have PRO 32 bit to offer. EN-GB & EN-US x64 PRO only!

Edit: I had always waited until after the installation to get install.esd because (as you probably know) I'm reluctant sometimes to change what (I think) works for me. Sigh . . . I'll get your tutorial now and learn to do it your way.

installed and as usual scrolling not working without installing new driver
paint 3d still crashes when you try changing the colour
quests do not tell you when completed unless you go back into quest which is a pain
closing lid for sleeping laptop does not wake when you open the lid

Finally got this build to install on my Lumia 640XL. I went to my wireless settings and it was set to metered. Changed it and it took two tried to download and install.
