Yeah I've just tried that and it's downloading after a restart though it come up with some error after restart but when I went into Windows update it said failed - retry and seemed to find them. It's now preparing to configure so it's a nervous wait. Why does Windows updates have to be such a stressful experience!
I'm fascinated by the way you seem always to being strrugging with every single update, hahaha. Really, have you considered on do a clean install and not use any third party cleaner? (if you're using anyone, of course).

By the way, all good here. Very smoooooooooooooooooooooth.

30 minutes from downloading to restarting, a record speed compared to previous updates

All went fine here. I'll clear out the Event Viewer and check on it over the next few days.

You'll only see about three errors/warnings. Clear event logs, restart and none left.

No 3rd party cleaner. It seemed to be the defender update to blame. A couple of others got stung by it too but all seems fine now. The actual cumulative update once I'd reset windows update went through pretty quick. Time to relax now!!!!

    Hi,

Downloaded and installed on two machines. All went pretty fast and smooth.

    Cheers,

Yes, this one was really fast. About 4 minutes total for the download, the install and the restart. Not bad.

Whew! took about an hour but finally finished down loading and installed rather quickly. Guess the MS server was on overdrive. Now it wait and see if any issues come up. :)
