The same for me, the update status was flickering, I think a endless loop !?
Now I reset the Windows Update with the following instructions.
Windows Update - Reset in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums
Now Windows is downloading, I hope this will successfully finish .....

Yeah I've just tried that and it's downloading after a restart though it come up with some error after restart but when I went into Windows update it said failed - retry and seemed to find them. It's now preparing to configure so it's a nervous wait. Why does Windows updates have to be such a stressful experience!

All updates available and downloading ...... really impressed at the download speed ... faster than usual ... available form a local cache maybe?
I will report back later ... want to see if I close down all other activity if that helps the process along a bit.
