    Join Us!

We are looking for enthusiastic community members who are interested in providing feedback to shape and enhance the Skype experience!

    What's involved?

As a Skype Insider you can become part of the Skype journey. We are working hard to improve the way you communicate with those who mean most. Whether it’s a group video call, 1-1 audio call or just sending the latest Moji, we are focusing on improving the ease of use and reliability of Skype, but we need your help.

As a Skype Insider, you can help us shape your Skype experiences as:

    • You will have early access to Skype software and services updates and improvements.
    • You will be able to give early feedback on these improvements and as well as help us iron out any quirks before we release them broadly.
    • On top of that you will be able to submit your suggestions on what you would like to see in the Skype app in the future

Think you are up to the challenge of helping shape the future of Skype? If so, please sign up online at the Skype Insiders Registration Form. You can install it alongside your current version of Skype.

Please read the Skype Insider Program Terms. By signing up to the program and installing the Skype Insiders application, you confirm that you agree to the Skype Insider Program Terms.

Please remember while we're really excited to share with the folk who sign up, we don't want to spill the beans to anyone outside of this program and so please keep it a secret!

We can't wait to share with you what we are working on!

    Love,
    The Skype Team

    Hi @Brink,

I wanted to subscribe to the Skype Insiders Program with my Microsoft Account (link provided above) . Here's the screen of the questionnaire for the subscription:

Brink, do you have any idea whats-up here? I have no clue and never ever - subscribed to several other beta testing / Insiders Programs - was I asked for my Apple ID's credentials!

EDIT: I already have a regular Microsoft Account that I use for Skype!

    Anybody else got this?

    Cheers

I have never used any Apple products apart of my ex-wife's iMac, and that only when she absolutely insisted me to check an issue she had, so my reply is only based on logics:

You have selected both iPhone / iPad and Mac as devices you would like to test Skype Insider Preview. That's why you are asked your Apple ID. As it seems to be required, you have exactly two options: enter your Apple ID to test Skype Insider Preview on iPhone, iPad or Mac, or unselect those devices if you don't want to test.

    Goodday Kari

Thank you for your reply. Although your reasoning seems logical, I still find it ridiculous that I'm not able to participate using my Microsoft Account. I don't understand what the connection is between the Skype Insiders Program for iPhone and/or Mac and using my Apple-ID for this. When the final release of Skype is ported to the Mac Apple Store, I'll download and install it, using my Apple-ID of course.

Until then I have NO desire to sign up using my Apple-ID. So I'll pass on this one for iOS and macOS and join the Windows (10) version instead, using my Microsoft Account.

    Cheers
