Windows 10 RTM: When Will It Happen?

Microsoft has already announced that Windows 10 will be launched on July 29, but in the meantime, Windows insiders are still waiting to get additional testing builds of the operating system, which is living proof that work on it continues until the very last minute.

As a result, many are wondering when Windows 10 will actually reach RTM and what is the latest build of the preview that insiders will receive as part of the testing program, but until now, thereís no answer to these questions coming from Microsoft.

Based on rumors that are spreading all over the web these days, Windows 10 could reach RTM next month, but previous reports on this pointed to late June as the date when Microsoft could sign off the new operating system. So itís either late June or mid-July, but the latter seems more likely.

Obviously, nobody can confirm this for now, especially because Microsoft is still working on Windows 10 and it could miss the scheduled date, but more information is likely to be provided next month at WPC 2015, when the company should introduce the new operating system to partners.

The end of this moth makes sence to me.. it will give MS time to get the distrubuiton channels set up so they can allow users to update/upgrade the best way possible. Oh and to provide all of the necessary information that's needed..

    ..
According to Russian leaker WZor, this could be Windows 10 build 10138, which Microsoft will also send to partners for the last testing before RTM. If his information is correct, partners should receive this build on July 12, which is the day when this yearís Worldwide Partner Conference kicks off in Orlando.

They're already likely past build 10138, by July 12th they should be way past. June 12th (tomorrow) I could believe, but if they're still at build 10138 in July something's wrong.

10150 sounds like a good number for the RTM

It's very different compared to how this usually worked.
RTM two weeks before GA means that OEMs can only start preloading Win10 when people already have it as an official release.
Then again, seems like a good way to iron out QA misses before Christmas...
