It seems that I don't need this update. There is nothing important for me in changelog.

I have to admit, Redstone 2 is going to be a bit of a dud for anyone that's not a "Creator" and willing to invest a ton of money in new hardware. I hope they focus a little energy on other features as well.

Why is it anytime I see information such as contained in this post I think of "Conflict of Interest"?

Microsoft develops the OS. Microsoft sells it own brand of Computer. I think the OEMs have good reason to be concerned about their future.
These products target market is high end professionals users and not your typical home user for facebook, email and browsing. The OEM's already have All-in-Ones for the consumer market which use OEM Windows.

I was just thinking about how nice the Surface Studio is and looks, and it came to me...
You can't add any extra disks internally to it
I use Hyper-V VMs and they can get quite large, specially when you have a lot of checkpoints, before eventually deleting the subtrees and merging.
I use SSDs for my VMs, meaning I need extra SATA 3 @ 6Gb/s or NVMe's.
So the Surface Studio is definitely for Creators, but not Geeks

One exception would be, if you have enough money and can afford AZURE, and have you machines there...

Cliff a lot of creative's will work in design studios, this sort of place is likely to have Many Terabytes of accessible fast remote storage - and I know of photographers who carry several terabytes of storage to a site (including Mirrored Raid secure backups) to augment their reasonably specified laptop

So the hardware is exotic, but the basic 3D software (Paint D) is aimed at the normal users that wants to add a little 3D magic to their wallpapers, facebook posts etc - I'm sure you'll find a valid reason to add 3d objects from Paint to your other projects

Nigel, it was only the hardware I was talking about, and use for virtual machines.:)
My VMs are on a 2nd internal 1 TB SSD and boot just as fast(if not faster) than the host(also on SSD, just more software & services running).

Like Barman said, in companies they'll likely use network drives, backed up to tape and kept off-site for disaster recovery.

Surface Studio is aimed first and foremost as an art device like Wacom Cintiq's, so Virtual Machines aren't much of a priority, however I expect Microsoft could find a way to fit two M.2 slots in there if there was a call for them to do so and Samsung are already pushing 2TB M.2 960 PRO's. Here's an Intel NUC Skull Canyon (which is also small) with two M.2 drives fitted on the left-hand side.
