Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14955 for Mobile and PC Insider
-
First it wouldn't make sense to have to set up a complex system for the insider program. Second, we don't really know where this claim comes from and who made it. I would give it a bit more credibility if we had a link at least.
Overall with the large number of insiders it's just possible that the queue fills up fast from non members and the result is some here getting the update later on. It's all that simple.
I does make sense. The reason I think this may be one possibility is because the whole purpose of the Insider Program is for testing builds so MS can release to the general public a build that works with a minimal amount of problems. Those Insider that use the builds and don't contribute back to MS by answer the Feedback questions or reporting bugs are not helping to achieve this goal. If MS has a way to flag those who contribute, those who contribute very little and those that don't contribute at all why wouldn't they use it? In the very beginning some users only joined the Insider Program to take advantage of a free OS. If you remember in the beginning you didn't need a qualifying OS to activate the Insider Builds. This is only my opinion and unless MS explains why all any of can do is guess.

To me just because someone hasn't done much feedback in the past is no indicator that they will do more in the future and limiting their access to new builds would be counterproductive. I would love to see a link to that claim so both of us can judge what it means.
Just my 2c.. have a great day!!

There is no links because MS hasn't publicly stated why. Or at least not that I know of. Until then thoughts and opinions are all we have. Have a great day also Jeff. :)

Saw Dona's tweet about 14955 being available for Insiders in Fast Ring. Left my Insider Laptop on for 2 whole days to download the newest build, and nothing happened. WU showed that computer was up to date. Decided to finally install the build manually by downloading the esd from WZOR. Oh well.

I thought any download other than from Microsoft was off limits to Forum members???

Boot time is getting slower with every build.

This is a normal problem with any installation of Windows - Insider Preview or not. At some point you will simplly need to backup all your data and do a clean install. This applies doubly to a program like Windows Insiders alas. IMHO of course

Hi,
Because the drive is filling up and there are plenty of registry errors.
Time to do some house keeping.
Cheers,

While waiting for new builds people might like to use Windows Key + L to load new Spotlight Images.

Do you have clock set to 24Hrs ?
I have it set to 12-hour clock (it uses AM/PM), so this is a very mysterious bug.
