Basically I'm asking, why are members that have enough disk space(so Windows Phone Insiders are exempt from the question), going through the trouble?
I don't rely on Windows if I need to roll back to the previous build, but on a Macrium backup. Since I keep the last half dozen build backups, I want each as small as possible. I not only run Disk Cleanup, but CCleaner. Then I delete remaining files from AppData\Local\Temp, Windows\Temp and Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download that aren't needed. Reboot, give Windows about a half hour to recover any files it didn't want me to delete, then backup.

Getting to it later, rather than sooner. Too many big deadlines this week. But the desktop got to the "Setting things up" screen without any help from me, and the Dell tablet is downloading the update right now. Desktop appears to be OK, I'll jump back in if any tablet issues manifest.
    Cheers!

I have trieds installing this (and a few previous versions) but am once again stuck on a build (14926) as they all fail on second boot. After many tries with USB ISO and direct upgrade I got to 100% and it froze... then restored the 14926 again! GRRRR This upgrade process is so unreliable!

I'm just curious about something here.

I read in all the insider upgrade threads, how members are always running Update Cleanup after the upgrade, and just want to know... why?
***this is directed at PC users and not Phone, as the answer is obvious then***

I mean, now, that the free from Win7 or Win 8 to Win10 upgrade is over, Microsoft has changed the rollback time frame from 30 days to 10 days, which is more than enough time to decide if you need to rollback, and Windows will do it automatically at the appropriate time, during the daily auto-maintenance.
Or, if another upgrade comes in the 10 day time frame, the Windows.old and ~BT folders will just be overwritten anyhow.

Basically I'm asking, why are members that have enough disk space(so Windows Phone Insiders are exempt from the question), going through the trouble?
Habit, for me. No scientific reason. I'll stop, though, now that you point it out

It took me long to quit doing it myself
That and any other "cleaning", except, where something wasn't working properly or responding correctly.

I had the option to update and close down last night, but chose to just shut down. This evening it updated successfully.

After a clean install of build 14955 syncing the time (Internet Time) to Windows Time or NIST fails. It's an annoyance to have to access the Control Panel using Settings but I can live with that.

The time sync problem is SERIOUS. Anybody else seeing this??

I have been getting an Access Denied each time I am trying to sync the Time on this and the previous Insider builds.

    Screenshot showing this.

I see the same time update issue as well.

Control Panel is in Windows System on the start menu/screen as it has been and can be pinned to the start.
