    LOL Jims...
I agree about the "We mustn't become too dependent on Technology" bit... but equating DDoS to AI? it's worlds apart...
    Hi there

An Intelligent but Malevolent Robot would certainly target disabling as far as possible the Internet as a first priority for causing Humans maximum possible inconvenience -- Communication has always been one of the first "Aids" to Humans even when they were "hunter gatherers" and using smoke signals etc to either warn other tribes or communicate with them.

It's all part of the same deal !!!!

    Cheers

You could try DNS.WATCH (not listed there, it is located in Germany).

Anyone ever try this: Dns Jumper
A nice tool for a quick lookup, but results based on 2 DNS requests could be flawed, I prefer Namebench.

I use DNS.Watch for my computer (DNSSEC, plain and effective) and OpenDNS in my browser (with dnscrypt).
I also disable DNS service, it is not needed with a reliable DNS, it can cause problems and be used by malware.

Interesting, DNS.WATCH even tells me how to configure my Fritz!Box

You're welcome. Like I said above, I'm a networking dummy myself, so tools like this do help.
In Ubuntu, it has something similar for it's Updater. It let's you know which server is fastest for a download mirror(repository location) for apt and apt-get.

Just a word of advice, if you are using multiple devices to access the internet, it makes good sense to add the "best" DNS server data to the router and set any or all that allow to get their DNS from the Router, ( This is normally the default for most devices anyway) which means you only have to change the server addresses once to act on all devices should you decide to change servers in future
