One of the new features (was already in 14942) I like very much is the option to toggle Start to only show all apps list or pinned tiles. Those not yet tested it, see the tutorial: Start Menu App List - Hide or Show in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

    Only tiles shown:

I am far from lazy and have no desire to learn another language.

Languages other than English weren't taught when I was in school, and now I'm too old to learn. And I don't think I'm alone, either.

I did that Kari, when it first came out. It was really funny :)

Not a good choice for small (could be great! but in limited numbers...) nations languages, in my opinion. Good thing is, we can always tell a foreign fraud mail. :)
Yeppers, Andre! Taking my own native English into consideration, there's no way someone whose native language isn't English could fool me into buying into their scams.

Then again, non native English speakers aren't the only ones that put scams out there, ya know . . . Crooks don't discriminate across nationality lines.

    I just installed b14946.

When I tried to rearrange the Start Menu tiles, the Start Menu crashed.
    This happened multiple times.
Each time I had to reboot W10 to fix it.

Apart from that, it seems to be working OK.

    I missed b14942.
Thanks for pointing that out. :)

I still have problems with my native English. I did try learning French when I was in 9th grade. It was a total disaster and I said never again.

I do not understand why MS had to make it "All or Nothing" choice as clicking option ALSO hides recently added and most used apps lists DESPITE options being set to display these.

We could have had "All, some lists, no lists" so I could keep recently added (say) displayed but not All apps (which was basically how 1511 worked).

Well here is a big change that is not immediately obvious.

If you right click on start button to get the "Power Menu", we all know from 14942 that the Control Panel links was changed with Settings.

But they have also changed the "Power Options" and "System" link to go to the Settings menu equivalents instead of the Control Panel.

The reason it is not obvious is this change only applies if you clean install or set up a new account. It seems those two links still point to Control Panel if you upgrade and use same profile apps! I am guessing this is an oversight by MS rather than deliberate though and eventually they will overwrite your existing profile accordingly.

However, here's the thing - you can copy the shortcuts from 14393 and replace in 14946 and everything is back to 14393 functionailty.

I show principle in post below.

The part about getting Control Panel back to WIN-X menu, @Brink has made a tutorial for that: Win+X Menu - Show Control Panel or Settings in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

    Windows 10 is changing guys....
    Get used to it

If you really need the control panel, go to C:\Windows\System32, create a shortcut(send to desktop) and pin it somewhere, (Quick access, Start, taskbar, desktop...etc.)

Or better yet, get yourselves Clover 3.1.8 tab browser for File Explorer installed and create a bookmarked tab for it.
