The Free Windows 10 Will Support Unlimited Clean Installs

Well they're using me as a 'beta tester' of W10 when the final release comes out before they'll install. So I guess that makes me a guinea pig!!! 
MS says you can do unlimited clean installs of W10, but the questions remain:
- Is the clean install onto a formatted hard drive from the saved upgrade file burnt as an ISO onto an installation disk?
- Or would you need to reload W7/W8.1 first and then install the upgrade file from a saved KB file?

We believe that you can roll back to Windows 7, but I'm not sure if Microsoft has confirmed this.
That's my theory too. It hasn't been spelled out in black and white as far as I know.

The first option you list is a clean install, the second one is not. So obviously it's not the second option.

*No, it won't. Not unless you give up all rights to Windows 10 by rolling back to Windows 7. You have to admit that by "purchasing" the upgrade of Windows 10, we all get a pretty deep discount as it is. :)
As far as I'm aware retail upgrades carry over the retail priveleges.

Then it would follow that the upgrade must be an ISO file able to be burnt to a disk as an installation disk, else how could you load it onto a blank hard drive?
So the next question is whether the upgrade will be provided with an installation product key or simply recognizes your machine as the one originally having W7/8.1 loaded on it?

Agreed, Boozad, unless you've upgraded it. If you've upgraded to Windows 10 and roll back, then you lose Windows 10 privileges. If you upgrade to Windows 10 and don't roll back, then you lose Windows 7 privileges.
