I guess but I'm in the sticks but if you guys know what "in the sticks means" that's where I am.
I am quite familiar with "in the sticks", nearest Wal*Mart is 40 miles away and BestBuy is 115 South and another 170 to the Northwest.

    Hi all.

I am closer- just a sixty mile round trip.

    Here's another stupid glitch,
I search for Paint, right click to Pin it to Start, but it doesn't show up on Start but it creates a group!!!
(I named the groups myself just so they'd show, but still.............)

I do! I've lived in the sticks for around 59 years. :)

So far, 14942 (upgraded on top of 14393.223 via iso) is rock solid for me...no networking problems, device-driver problems, or browser problems (Firefox x64 DE.) From the things I've read on various sites it seems like folks would be well advised before installing this to completely uninstall any and all AV programs they have installed, save Defender. That's all I was running when I upgraded, and I didn't even have to turn off Defender. Even if people "turn off" these other AV programs there could easily be stuff relative to them that is still running somewhere, registry entries, etc., that could be keeping some elements of *this build* from installing properly--hence many problems after the install appears to complete successfully.
Walt, I wasn't running any AV programs when I updated to 14942, nor had any AV programs been installed on this test machine after the latest clean install. So, for me, that theory won't fly.

Me too, Jadinolf, except we say the boondocks or the boonies. At any rate, where Walmart tends to treat us as if we don't have any sense. What they don't know is that we're all escapees from the big cities!

Oh, I'm a little closer than that; I can have a 20 mile round trip, but our Walmart isn't very well stocked, so a 70 mile round trip will get me to Walmart, Target and Kroger. But if I want to go to Best Buy, it's about a 130 mile round trip.

Here in Texas, we also say, "We're so far back in the sticks they have to pipe daylight to us." To get to the lake for fishing is only a three mile round trip, though.

Our lake is 5 miles away and we depend on it for water drinking, dishes, laundry.......

    Only one problem...

It's running out of water. We need rain so badly.
