Announcing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14942 for PC on Fast ring Insider

I rolled back too. Malwarebytes would not work, blue screened every time i tried to load it up. Also my logitech keyboard lost all its profile settings. Quite a few other minor issues also. I'll wait for next preview build.
I have Malwarebytes, but for some reason, I hadn't installed it yet, so I didn't have the problems others are having with that. I've heard that the paid version gives the errors, but the free version doesn't. Which do you have?
Although I didn't have problems with my Logitech keyboard, my Logitech mouse wasn't working right.
Build 14942 isn't the best one Microsoft has released, for sure.

Hopefully we will have a new build by the end of next week with the important issues resolved
The thing is MS will fix what they consider most important first and then get to the rest of the issues over time. The issue with sfc /scannow took a few builds to get resolved so it's hard to say when MS will get around to addressing the sleep issue and the issue with malwarebytes . Oh and the XBox gaming issues.
Just a thought.. and I'm not criticizing anyone. But given that there are always going to be some kind of issues with the insider builds it might be best to run a dual boot setup with the insider as a secondary OS. That way there is always an OS that works with the software/Apps and a testing OS is available at the same time.
Just a thought..
Oh and I found that when I installed this build the browsers did seem to act up a bit but after a minute they cleared right up.

Hopefully not UNTIL the end of next week - I'm going to be away from station for a few days. I will be "gone fishing" on my annual trip to rope the mighty bluefish...

Jeff, you're sitting where I've been with almost every Build Microsoft has released . . . the sweet spot. :)
I run a dual boot system with the Insider Build and the Anniversary Update (Retail) with external drives for my data. Here's the thing, though; I think I had the very worst case of "sleep" anyone can have. Nothing would wake the computer up; I tried everything possible, but eventually had to do a hard shut down (hold down the power button until everything shuts off).
At that point, I should have been able to press the power button and the computer should have rebooted, but that didn't work. Neither did using the Macrium Reflect Bootable Rescue Media. I even tried a bootable flash drive with an earlier Insider Build and that didn't work either. So . . . at this point, my dual boot system was of no particular use. You have to be able to boot into the system far enough to choose which OS to use and that wasn't possible.
Thanks to the great support system in TenForums and Sgage telling me how to get it to boot, I finally got into the system, but who'd a thunk it! Unplug the box, open the box, pull the CMOS battery, hold down the power button for 30 to 60 seconds, reverse actions to put it all back together, power on, reset BIOS, etc., etc., etc., I think that's why the warnings Microsoft gave us when we signed up. BTW, I found out later from Simrick that pulling the CMOS battery may not have been necessary; that was the next step if unplugging and holding down the power button didn't work. I ain't complaining, though! It works!
It's all behind me now. What I've learned from this is that you can make all kinds of preparations, backups, rescue disks/flash drives, etc. and Microsoft can still mess things up royally!

Nooooooooooo, Sgage! When Microsoft releases the new Build, it'll be waiting for you when you get home! Those of us with problems need fixes now!

Ditto. I have sufficient resources, mostly rehabed freebies, that I can keep the test systems completely separate from my 'using' computers, running the Insider Preview on 2 such machines. Outside of the IP not working with Intel G33/G31 Express and Intel Q35 Express onboard video adapters they are doing okay. I have ATI Radeon 2400 HD adapters in them, also rehabed from junked machines.

This version hangs up on the logo screen. Also blank screens. Very unresponsive so I had to go back to the previous version of insider.
The apps are also unresponsive. I might give it another try.
