The only thing I am missing from Edge is addon support - two addons I need are LastPass and Internet Download Manager. For now, when needed, I use the More Options>Open in Internet Explorer, but that's just workaround. Other than that, I have left Firefox (and Chrome before) and use Edge as my default browser. As for favorities, I am using Pinboard.in and just keep an open tab with it, so not using them at all.
I would not be using Edge until and if I can get LastPass onto it. Also it needs a setting where you can get it to go immediately to a new tab when you click to open any link in a new tab. They really should have all the add-ons sorted before RTM but that dire Favourites menu is enough to make me stick wIth Firefox!

Thanks for reply, yes my Win 8.1 machine is also connected to the same MS account so I should be OK. I don't mind waiting a week or two. My guess is that when they start rolling out the upgrade, all those who reserved it will get a pop-up to say it's ready for downloading and they can go ahead or click on a button that days 'Remind me later' or something.
Last I heard was that if you reserved it would pre download 10, then give you a prompt to say it is ready to install, this was the initial idea behind reserving so everyone didn't try to download at the same time

But now it could be how you say, with poor broadband, for me I hope it pre downloads prior to launch

Yes, will be interesting to see how this pans out, if it pre downloads I will be OK as I'm on an unlimited broadband package but what about those on a monthly 10GB limited package only?

Going to be interesting how it does it for those with limited packages, especially if multiple machines are involved
I suppose there is no real reason to reserve it unless you want it as soon as, so people can manually get it at at time to suit them sometime after release

Interesting times, and I am sure whatever happens with it, there will be complaints

I am hoping that I can upgrade one machine first and then create an ISO from the ESD file to clean install both my computers.

That would be nice, I have 3 machines to update and possibly a tablet, but that might be separate anyway

So that way would be ideal for me

There has been an ESD file with each of the W10 Builds I've tried, so I don't know why the RTM/GA would be any different. (fingers crossed as I write this)

Edge Favorites Bar is better in 10166 but still not ready for release. I have a few feedbacks to make, including one that crashes Edge out.

Perhaps many of us don't use IE, either.

There are two reasons I don't use Edge. No ad blocking and stupid alpha sorting of my Favorites. Hopefully these will be addressed but until then.........
The favorites hasn't done that for a very long time... at least 10130. I can order my favorites any way I want, and they stay that way. I'm currently using 10166 and my favorites are still the same.

There won't be any extensions until after RTM.

Well, that is simply not true of my experience prior to 10166. I imported a lot of faves and it was chaotic. It was better if you only had a few that didn't overflow into the side bar.

Renaming often needed two attempts as nothing happened the first time and one of the renames crashed Edge completely.

Removing duplicates was somewhat frought as well. For example, I had one at the top of the list and one at the end. I removed the last one of the pair and the first one disappeared!

No matter what anyone says, at least for me, the favorites bar is not ready for general release. The Insider feedbacks back this up as well.

    Only 19 days to fix.
