    And now it becomes clear!

Belfiore also confirmed that the Windows Insider program will continue after the launch event. Registered members of the Insider program who've been testing preview releases will be offered the option to switch to the Current Branch or remain in the preview program.

Those who choose to remain on what Microsoft is calling the "active branch" will continue to get new updates ahead of the public, with those updates making their way to the Current Branch when they're deemed stable enough for release.
Windows 10's summer launch date is first step in a slow roll-out | ZDNet

There has long been speculation that those running Windows 10 when it becomes available will get a free copy by virtue of being an Insider. Need I say more?

If we choose to continue as an Insider, we get to keep on keeping on! I like!

One thing that came to mind, people might want to think twice before reimaging their old OS's after excepting the reservation. If it's going to trickle or pre download and you reimage you'll have to start all over again.

I just reimaged my 8.1 desktop, to a point before I themed, and updated and then had to re-reserve. From now till the release I'm just going to update what I have and no more theming, so this upgrade will go smooth.

The image I'm on now is clean(no cruft) and in top form as usual. On my laptop, I'll probably pop my Win 7 disk in on Thursday, and update it(Thursday is a Holiday here) to get it ready. I was thinking of buying a new SSD for it, but then asked myself "Why?". I mean after every install and before any major changes I make an image, so I can buy a new disk when I really need it.

You are Welcome but site format changes that I have noticed have been for the worse not for the better and this one is for the better.

If I understood it right, we can reserve it now by clicking on an Icon in our system tray as he said, "Look for this icon in your system tray" I have Windows 8.1 pro, but I don't see any icon on my tray that would do that. Am I misunderstanding?
