As is usually the case, old advice that was once good is now long past its due date. Back in the XP days, yes it's true that Windows was very hard on an SSD, particularly in regards to the pagefile. This has not been true since Windows 7. Microsoft basically rewrote large parts of the Windows 7 kernel to make it SSD friendly, including optimizing pagefile access on SSD's.
I would suggest that when it comes to SSD's you get more recent advice. The technology has changed all around.
Looks like some might be a little older now. What can I say, I'm old anyway :)

I have that memory error every time I shut the pc down. Any fix? Or should I just wait for 10134?
I sometimes seen similar errors in Windows 8.1 when shutting down not using windows builtin shutdown button.
