Do I detect a bit of panic creeping in there Scotty ? I'm loving all the updates at the moment.
Happy to say I'm not on the fast ring now though as I'm only running one PC.
Must say I'm struggling to find any problems with 14393.222 up to now. For me it's a good build :)
Yes your right - the updates do raise my stress levels which is certainly why I wish they were far less frequent and not thrown at us out of nowhere! Although for me it seems a solid update across our two machines. But I do get cross when I read so many people running into problems.

Updated and everything seems ok. The only weird thing was that, as long as I was using my mail to enter Windows and on the Mail app, it detected as if there were two differet user acounts. But I solved it.

Anyway, regarding the comment about the updates... well... since I did a clean install from an iso image last year (a year ago, in fact) every update has been flawless. And, as I said in other post, if memory serves me right, in that same date I stipped to use any software as Tune Up, CClenaer and the likes.

And to come back to the subjet, right now I'm running a sfc /scaannow to see if everything is 100% correct after the update, which is what I expect.

If I got offered this update does that mean I am on an insider build? I didn't think I was.

edit: Reading back in the thread I think the answer is this was pushed to non insiders as well. BTW this installed just fine for me. I am now on Build 14393.222. I have three other computers that have not received this yet.

Upon restart I received a page fault in error nonpaged area BSOD. My PC rebooted and it successfully installed. Not sure why it happened though.

    finished successfully

I'm not an Insider. In fact, I only got the 'Anniversary Feature update to Windows 10, version 1607' on September 20th, then a day later I got 'Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3176936)'

Then 2 hours ago, KB3194496 came in. So as been reported, it's apparently for everyone. ( For me now stuck at 51% for an hour an counting. )

Update: Just now finished installing successfully Total time 1hr 30mi.

I was offered the update (not an Insider anymore) - installed but would not take, rolled back system to 14393.187.

I did, however, click on 'Check for Updates' & it DID NOT show up again. Apparently, it had automatically checked updates even before i clicked on it myself (in the time between trying to install, rollback & restore/restart)

I also ran Windows Update MiniTool & it DID show up as available for download & install but i hide it.
You are right...I had to change my last post! This update is really strange. It's a big departure from the way the updates used to work for Insider flight updates. Don't know what's gotten into Microsoft, lately...I've not seen things this screwy in a long time...!

On the 3rd page of that post , they say they identified the issue yesterday and the appropriate Team was working on the fix.... so I guess they think it is fixed ? One computer here had a black screen for about 5 mins after the reboot but I just waited patiently and it eventually came up as normal.

    KB

Have not been able to solve the Black Screen after the Lockscreen , but it may have something to do with Asus's AiSuite III as I have a error showing in Dip4 which is part of AiSuite. getting rid of AiSuite , even with their Cleaner App is proving harder than I thought....

    KB.

Haven't installed this onto work PC's yet, but I'm doing it on my home computers it's been stuck at 67% on my wife's for the past... 40 mins or so. She hasn't given me any dirty looks yet, so I think I'm okay, though.
