Yes, thanks so much. But I can't find the file executable there... Plenty of "info" on the update, just no update... This is as close as I get to a downloadable file...check out "how to get this update"...WU is all that is listed....This all seems like a great big screw up...! In the last two years haven't had as much trouble with a cumulative...

I have run the update on four machines, two with no problems, one at second attempt, and one just will not play the game.
The failed update is on W10 home 32 bit, the successful ones are all W10 pro 64 bit.

This update appeared 9/29 with message "restart required to complete installation . . .". After reading through this thread last night, I restarted and installed this morning. Happy to say it completed successfully in about 15 minutes on Win 10 home 64-bit system. Thanks to all for helpful information.

    can't install this update.
windows says it can't complete the update and is undoing changes.
tried manually installing .cab file and that fails with the same error.
I've seen this mentioned a bit over on WindowsCentral also...same symptoms. As I've posted on here, I've had the same problem.

As of about 1 hour ago I have a second machine that will get to about 90%+ with error and then back-out the changes.

Both of my machines are recent vintage (less than 2 years). Using Gigbyte and Asus motherboards on a desktop (swapped out mbs to check) with i7-4790k fails, and an i7 laptop also fails.

I've begun to download the update whenever possible and then install due to some previous issues with WU.

Anyone getting these Appreadiness errors (found in the event-viewer's Administrative events log) after this update? Doesn't seemed to affect the system but my system was completely error-free b4 this update.
Yeas I'm seeing a few of these errors after this update. Never had these before and they seem a bit random, up to now I can't find why they are being generated. They aren't causing any problems at the moment so I'll just keep an eye on them.
