Who said anything about free upgrade ? I was talking about Bing/MSN news that were really late with NEWS.

Free is good but I want the DVD so I can build a new PC or just have a backup just in case my motherboard dies.

    Wow those are reasonable prices.
Those are OEM (system builder) editions, not full Retail versions. Just keep that in mind. OEM versions are a lot cheaper than the full retail versions.

I have three Fifty dollar bills taped to the top of my new HP desktop PC to buy the retail version of Windows 10. I figure Amazon will have it on their web site the full version by July 1 for $149.95 with free ship. No hassle, no worry on upgrading, just a plain easy switch from WINs 7 Pro 64-bit to WINs 10 Home.

Online reseller leaks OEM prices and on-sale dates for Windows 10

Assuming the on-sale dates listed here are accurate, small system builders will have access to Windows 10 before Labor Day. But if you were looking forward to a price break, think again. These prices are actually $10 higher than the corresponding prices for Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro when they were launched.

Does anyone here believe that Windows 10 will be very likely to come out in June 2015 or is that wishful thinking? I want it now so badly but I would hate to have to wait until September or even July or August. Microsoft needs to speed things...
