and I will lose Media Center
Wow! I thought there was a "movie player" app included in Windows 10, so I searched for it in "My Stuff". Up popped Media Center wanting me to set it up!

There seems to be something like Media Center in the Store (beta).

If you remove the Windows update KB file associated with the Windows 10 freebie, it will be replaced by the next Windows update. Sounds like virus-like activity to me!
Hide it and it will not install again. If you have windows update set to install all updates, including option updates, automatically, that's why its installing again. That will happen with any update you uninstall.

From the Windows 10 FAQ (en-us version - which is different to the en-gb version )
Will Windows Media Center be available in Windows 10?

Windows Media Center is not part of Windows 10 and won’t be available after upgrading to Windows 10. If you use Windows Media Center, we will alert you during upgrade that Windows Media Center is not available on Windows 10. We know that some users use Windows Media Center to play DVDs, and we are providing a free DVD playback app in Windows 10 for Windows Media Center users.

OK. Since I never used Media Center (other than for a short, beta of TV cards for Media Center which was abandoned), so I'm not too "up" on stuff like that.

    And your point is?

I'm not picky, I've just never used it because I don't watch movies on my computer.

Yes, I can. The answer is Yes, indubitably. :)

Have a look at the first post in this thread:

It's not everyday you come across 'indubitably'!! Great word, though.

I used WMC on my 8.1 netbook attached to the TV for showing my photos and home movies. Had to look for an alternative and found Kodi. It runs fine on win 10 and is now my WMC substitute. Also found it had an advantage in that it could adjust the TV pic to remove overscan! Bonus, as my TV doesn't have this adjustment.

I have a Fire TV and a Fire TVStick with TVMC side-loaded on both; guess I will end up using that (Kodi) on my computer as well. Glad to know it's working well on W10!

I had it working and I need to try it again. I just tried it in build 10130 and it speaks to me. :)

I haven't tried with this build, but could never get her to talk in any of the previous builds I've tried.
Yeah, still not working here, even after a clean install. Seems to be an issue for me for most of the builds so far. Guess she just doesn't like me.
